Keep branches, leaves, dry trimmings, untreated wood, soil, and household trash in separate piles. Mixed loads take more review and some materials may need a different destination.
Describe volume in useful terms
Photos are more useful than guessing weight. Include a familiar reference, such as a yard-waste bag or fence panel, and show the pile from two angles. Mention extra-long or thorny branches.
Flag materials that need another route
Painted or treated lumber, chemicals, liquids, soil, concrete, and pest-infested material should not be hidden inside green waste. Ask about them directly before loading.
Make the pile reachable
- Bundle long branches when practical.
- Keep bags dry enough to lift safely.
- Clear gates and walking paths.
- Do not place material against utility equipment.
- Keep the agreed pile separate from items that stay.
